The HICP average for member countries of the European Economic Area (EU-countries, Iceland and Norway) was 102.6 points (2005=100) in September, wich is unchanged from August. At the same time, the HICP for Iceland was 106.9 points, 0.7% higher than in the previous month.
The 12-month rate of change of the HICP was 1.9% for the EEA, 1.7% for the Euro-zone and 6.1% for Iceland.
The highest inflation rates in the EEA in this twelve month period were 6.1% in Iceland and 5.9% in Latvia and Hungary. The lowest inflation rates were 0.8% in Finland and 1.0% in Germany.
