The producer price index (PPI) in April 2016 was 199.5 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), which is 0.5% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 259.9 points which is 0.4% lower than in March (effect on the index -0.1%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 174.9 points, 2.5% lower than in the previous month (-0.9%). The PPI for food products increased by 1.2% (0.2%) and the index for other manufactured products increased by 1.6% (0.3%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.5% (0.4%) higher than in the previous month and the index for exported products decreased by 1.3% (-0.9%).
Compared with April 2015, the PPI has decreased by 10.4%. The PPI for fish products decreased by 6.3% and the PPI for power intensive industry has decreased by 23.8%. The price of food products has increased by 4.6%.
