The producer price index (PPI) decreased by 0.7% between May and June 2017. Prices of power intensive industry products decreased by 2.2% (effect on the index 0.7%), prices of food decreased by 0.2% (0.0%), prices of marine products increased by 0.1% (0.0%), and prices for other industry increased by 0.1% (0.0%).
Compared with June 2016, the PPI has decreased by 10.2%. Thereof prices of marine products have decreased by 13.8% and other industry decreased by 22.8%. Prices of power intensive industry products have decreased by 1.4% and prices of food decreased by 2.3% in the same period. When taken into consideration if the products are exported or sold domestically, exported products have decreased in price by 9.5% over one year, but products sold domestically have decreased by 11.6%.
