The producer price index (PPI) in March 2016 was 200.4 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), which is 0.5% higher than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 260.8 points which is 1.2% lower than in February 2015 (effect on the index -0.4%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 179.4 points, 2.5% higher than in the previous month (0.8%). The PPI for food products increased by 0.6% (0.1%) and the index for other manufactured products decreased by 0.1%.
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.6% (0.2%) higher than in the previous month and the index for exported products increased by 0.5% (0.3%).
Compared with March 2015, the PPI has decreased by 10.7%. The PPI for fish products decreased by 5.3% and the PPI for power intensive industry has decreased by 24.4%. The price of food products has increased by 3.4%.
