The producer price index (PPI) in May 2016 was 201.4 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), which is 1.0% higher than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 262.1 points which is 0.8% higher than in April (effect on the index 0.3%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 177.9 points, 1.7% higher than in the previous month (0.6%). The PPI for food products decreased by 0.1% (0.0%) and the index for other manufactured products increased by 0.6% (0.1%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.5% (0.2%) higher than in the previous month and the index for exported products increased by 1.1% (0.8%).
Compared with May 2015, the PPI has decreased by 9.5%. The PPI for fish products has decreased by 4.6% and the PPI for power intensive industry has decreased by 22.1%. The price of food products has increased by 3.8%.
