The producer price index (PPI) in October 2013 was 201.6 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 0.8% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 253.6 points which is 0.5% higher than in September 2013 (effect on the index 0.2%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 198.7 points, 2.6% lower (-0.9%). The PPI for food products increased by 1.5% (0.2%) and the PPI for other manufactured products decreased by 2.3% (-0.3%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.2% lower than in the previous month while the index for exported products decreased by 1.0% (-0.8%).
Compared to October 2012 the PPI has decreased by 6.4%. The PPI for fish products and the PPI for power intensive industry decreased by 5.3% and 14.7% respectively. In the same period the PPI for food products rose by 3.6%.
