The producer price index (PPI) in March 2014 was 193.5 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 0.9% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 243.0 points which is 1.5% higher than in February 2014 (effect on the index 0.6%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 180.4 points, 2.7% lower (-0.9%). The PPI for food products stayed the same between months and the PPI for other manufactured products decreased by 3.7% (-0.6%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.1% (-0.3%) lower than in the previous month and the index for exported products decreased by 0.9% (-0.6%).
Compared to March 2013 the PPI has decreased by 9.5%. The PPI for fish products and the PPI for power intensive industry decreased by 4.0% and 23.5% respectively. In the same period the PPI for food products rose by 1.2%.
