The producer price index (PPI) in February 2013 was 216.9 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 2.8% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 262.7 points which is 3.1% lower than in January 2013 (effect on the index -1.1%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 239.7 points, 2.4% lower (-0.8%). The PPI for food products increased by 0.7% (0.1%) and the PPI for other manufactured products decreased by 5.7% (-1.0%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.1% (-0.3%) lower than in the previous month and the index for exported products decreased by 3.3% (-2.5%).
Compared to February 2012 the PPI has decreased by 0.4%. The PPI for fish products decreased by 2.3% and the PPI for power intensive industry products rose by 0.2%. In the same period the PPI for food products rose by 4.1%.
