The producer price index (PPI) in May 2015 was 222.6 points (4. quarter 2005=100), hence unchanged from the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 274.6 points which is 0.9% higher than in April 2015 (effect on the index -0.3%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 228.3 points, 0.5% lower than in the previous month (-0.2%). The PPI for food products increased by 0.7% (0.1%) and the PPI for other manufactured products increased by 2.2% (0.4%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.2% (0.3%) higher than in the previous month while the index for exported products decreased by 0.4% (-0.3%).
Compared with May 2014 the PPI has increased by 12.5%. The PPI for fish products increased by 9.6% and the PPI for power intensive industry has increased by 18.9%. The price of food products between years is unchanged.
