In May 2014, overnight stays in hotels were 180,880 compared to 160,560 in May 2013.
Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 80% of the total number of overnight stays in May and increased by 13% compared with May 2013. At the same time the overnight stays of Icelanders increased by 11%.
