In January 2014, overnight stays in hotels were 123,800 compared to 91,000 in January 2013.
Nights spent by foreign tourists accounted for 84% of the total number of overnight stays in January and increased by 39% compared with January 2013. At the same time the overnight stays of Icelanders increased by 22%.
