Real wages increased by 2.6% from previous year
The real wage index in September is 110.5 points, and has increased by 0.1% from previous month. In the last twelve months the real wage index has increased by 2.6%.
Collective agreements
Recent collective agreements in the Icelandic labour market affect the wage index in September.
Collective agreements between some public sector unions and the Association of Local Authorities and the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the State Treasury, stipulate a general wage rise and a lump sum payment of 50,000 ISK.
Statistics
