Statistics Iceland: Taxable wages decreased by 2.3% between months

The total sum of taxable wages decreased by 2.3% in August 2024 from the previous month while the increase between years was 5.8%. The total sum of taxable wages was about 167.2 billion ISK, the number of employees was about 221,500 and the number of employers about 22,000. Note that the data have not been adjusted for inflation.
