The total sum of taxable wages in December increased by 8.8% between years. There was, however, decrease between months from November to December 2024 by 3.1%. The total sum of taxable wages in December was about 178.2 billion ISK. The number of employees was about 212,200 and the number of employers about 22,900. Note that the data have not been adjusted for inflation.
