According to the wage index, wages increased by 7.7% between the years 2011 and 2012. During the same period wages in the private sector increased by 7.8% and by 7.5% in the public sector.
In the private sector the change in wages ranged from 6.7% for Craft workers to 9.2% for Clerks. In the economic activity of Financial intermediation the wages rose by 11.2% while the increase of wages was 6.0% in the economic activity of Construction.
These results and more are published in a new Statistical Series, Wage Index 2012. The wage index is a quarterly index and shows the changes of regular hourly wages in the private sector by occupational group and economic activity. An aggregate index is also published for the public sector.
