Census 2011: Main results by output areas

In this issue, Statistics Iceland publishes for the first time selected topics from the Icelandic Census taken on 31 December 2011 with a new regional breakdown. The main regions are redefined for the purposes of the Census, special output areas were created with an average of 7,500 inhabitants. The definition of localities and urbanization was also adjusted for the purposes of the Census.
