The aim of this study is to analyse the Netherlands‘ high and rising share as a destination of goods exported from Iceland over the last few years. The study‘s conclusion is that in the majority of cases, the exporting firms do not know the final destination of the goods (mainly aluminium and aluminium products) they export to the Netherlands. However, in the case of marine products, the country of final destination is usually known.
