The total catch of Icelandic fishing vessels in 2013 was 1363 thousand tonnes which is 86 thousand tonnes less than in 2012. The value of the catch amounted to 153 billion ISK and decreased by 4.3% from previous year, 2.2% increase at constant prices. The largest part of the catch was processed in the eastern part of the country, mainly pelagic fish. Total value of by-products amounted to 5 billion in 2013.
