Fishing by foreign countries in Icelandic waters 2004 and 2005 and the world catch 2004

The catch by foreign vessels in Icelandic waters (region Va) increased from being 74 thousand tonnes in 2004 to 114 thousand tonnes in 2005. The biggest increase was in the capelin fisheries, with catch of 81 thousand tonnes in 2005 compared to 49 thousand tonnes in 2004. English summary is on page 6.
