In real terms the GDP in the 3rd quarter of 2008 decreased by 0.8% from the same quarter of the previous year. Total domestic expenditure decreased by 9.7% during the period. Household final consumption decreased by 6.7% in the 3rd quarter. This decrease is partly due to a 60% decrease in purchases of vehicles.
