The CPI in May 2011 rose by 0.94% from the preceding month (rose by 0.73% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 3.4% (CPI less housing cost rose by 3.1%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 11.2% (10.3% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 1.09% in April from the preceding month and rose by 0.52% in the EEA. Over the 12 months to April the HICP in Iceland rose by 3.1% and by 3.2% in the EEA.
