The total number of overnight stays was 1,984,448 in the year 2003, which is a 6.7% increase from the year 2002. From 2002?2003 the number of overnight stays has increased by 8.6% in hotels and guesthouses, 25.4% in sleeping-bag facilities, 10.7% in lodges in wilderness, 7.5% in youth hostels and 0.5% in holiday centres.
